CM Punk arrived in All Elite Wrestling, and he made his first appearance on AEW Dynamite on Wednesday night.
In an interview with Tony Schiavone, Punk explained that he chose to return to AEW to show that he can still be “the best in the world,” and Darby Allin is the perfect opponent to compete against.

Punk said he sees himself a lot in Allin, someone who doesn’t fit the mold. He then teased the fans when they chanted “Yes!” saying that this is someone else’s “shtick” and that he will have to be a little patient.

Punk concluded by reiterating that he was looking forward to facing Allin on September 5 at All Out.
