The CMT Music Awards 2019 may have been broadcast on cable Wednesday night, but they still drew a large audience thanks to the decision of Viacom to broadcast the awards ceremony on several networks.
In total, the show attracted 2.7 million viewers in total and a score of 0.63 in key 18-49 demographics, reports Variety. Through the broadcast broadcast on CMT, Paramount, Logo, TVLand, MTV and MTV2, the number of viewers jumped by 29% over last year.
The ceremony was hosted by Little Big Town at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. Carrie Underwood continued her dominance of the show by winning the year 's video for "Cry Pretty" and the video of the year for "Love Wins".
Kane Brown won the men's video for "Lose It", while Dan + Shay took over Duo Video for "Speechless". The band Zac Brown won the group video for "Someone I knew before" and Ashley McBride, the groundbreaking video for "Girl Goin" Nowhere (At Marathon Music Works). Keith Urban and Julia Michaels shared a collaborative video for "Coming Home".

With two more victories, Underwood continues to be the most awarded artist at the CMT Music Awards. She has won 20 CMT awards in total.

While the CMT Music Awards are over, Nashville still hosts the CMA Fest, which debuted Thursday at the Nissan Stadium.
