Country music paid tribute to his talented women at the CMT Music Awards 2019.

Brandi Carlile, Trisha Yearwood, Raelynn, Martina McBride, Lauren Alaina, Carly Pearce and Deana Carter, accompanied by Shooter Jennings scraping the guitar, joined Tucker to sing the 1972 country song.
The country's fans quickly turned to social media to express their gratitude for Tucker, 60, and for the list of hymns accompanying the singer, nominated ten times in the Grammy Awards.

"Some of the country music women joining Tanya Tucker during the Delta Dawn performance are one of my favorite performances of the night so far," said another user, while she remembered old memories of having seen Tucker play at 14 years old.

Other performances at CMT Music Awards 2019 included; Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Zac Brown Band, with collaborative performances by Brett Young and Boyz II Men; Thomas Rhett, Little Big Town and Trombone Shorty; and Sheryl Crow and Maren Morris.
