A new CNN report that links the origins of the coronavirus pandemic to China appears to have arrived too late, or as some critics have said, “10 months” late.
CNN on Monday afternoon announced a “mine” of leaked documents from China that showed it had released “misleading” data on coronavirus cases and deaths in Hubei province, where Wuhan is located, in February and also hid a huge “spike” in flu-like cases in December 2019.
“These documents, a rare, clear and open window on what China knew from the start, trying to appear under control as a local epidemic turned into a global pandemic,” concluded Nick Paton Walsh, editor-in-chief of the CNN International Security in its report.
CNN ACCUSED OF “ LITERALLY PUBLISHING CHINESE PROPAGANDA ”
While President Trump has long accused China of “allowing” the coronavirus originating on its borders to be spread to the rest of the world, much of the mainstream media has largely ignored the origins of the disease, with some even calling the attacks from the president of xenophobe.
Critics scoffed at the outlet for acknowledging what was commonly known.
“CNN FINALLY REALIZES CHINA LEAD 10 MONTHS LATER,” said Donald Trump Jr.
“Shocker … The best question for @CNN is why they waited until after the election for their public disclosure that China has misled the world about the coronavirus. This is not news,” said Representative Lee Zeldin, RN.Y. tweeted.

Commentary Drew Holden put CNN into a state of explosion, relaunching several tweets issued by the media throughout the pandemic that appeared to take China at its word about its response to the virus.
“Maybe now is the time for @CNN to stop repeating the CCP’s talking points on the coronavirus then?” Holden reacted.
Among the many Twitter headlines generated by CNN was a “rebuttal” that China described as “24” absurd allegations and lies “” from US politicians and media to “blame China for its inadequate response to Covid-19 “. ”

An editorial published by CNN in May criticized the Trump administration’s accusations against China as “reckless, dangerous and could push the world into conflict.”
Daily Wire editor Cabot Phillips also found a March tweet showing CNN echoing China’s claim it had found “no new cases of locally transmitted coronavirus” since the start of the pandemic.
“Huh. So maybe you shouldn’t have been reporting the Chinese-made numbers as facts all year?” Phillips told CNN.
