CNN presenter Brianna Keilar took former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley to the task Thursday after the former Trump nominee accused mainstream media of wanting to divide the Republican Party.
Haley wrote an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday criticizing the media after a recent interview she gave to Politico drew attention for remarks dismissing former President Donald Trump as a future GOP leader in the aftermath of the murderous riot of January 6 at the Capitol.

Keilar hit back Thursday by playing a montage of prominent GOP lawmakers defending and criticizing Trump in recent weeks.

“Haley says the media want to stir up a Republican civil war. Stoke how? By telling Americans this is happening, what are Republicans on either side of this ditch saying? Maybe there wouldn’t be civil war if the media simply stopped documenting? ” “Keilar said.
“There is a civil war,” she added later. “The GOP feeds on itself, chasing the right people as it bow to conspiracy theorists. And the media unaware that this is happening will somehow not make Mitt Romney and Josh Hawley agree. the existential questions facing their party. ”
The CNN anchor then accused the former South Carolina governor of “trying to have it both ways” by praising Trump’s policies while condemning his actions after his defeat in the November election.
