Coachella Festival Employee Dies in "Death Crash" at Empire Polo Grounds

INDIO, Calif. – At approximately 9:30 am on Saturday morning, the Indio police received a call regarding a workplace accident at the Polo Polo Grounds, near 50 Avenue and the street. Monroe. Indio Fire and Cal Fire responded and were on site.

According to the police, when they arrived at the scene of the concert, they learned that one of the workers had an accident at work and had died tragically. The police are currently working with Cal Fire and the coroner's office. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) also reviews the scene and accident.

The police stated that the worker was working in the field in one of the staging areas. The coroner's office will process information about the deceased person and OSHA will take care of the examination of the incident.

The Indio police extend their condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
