UPDATEA worker died Saturday morning after falling into the assembly area on the site of the Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival. Indio police confirmed at the Palm Springs release, the Desert Sun. The festival will take place on the grounds of the Empire Polo Club next weekend and the weekend of April 19 to 21.
According to a report to TMZ, an eyewitness stated that the worker, who was not wearing a safety harness, was climbing on the scaffold of the scene and fell to about twenty meters.
The most recent death related to the festival occurred in 2014, when a woman collapsed during the festival and later died in a local hospital.
