The coastguard announced Sunday the rescue of a missing diver while her and her crew were exploring an undersea sinking off the coast of New Jersey.
Lifeboats responded Saturday morning to a distress call from the commercial diving ship Gypsy Blood, reporting that the woman had disappeared from Asbury Park.
The diver was found a few hours later near Shark River Inlet.

"The crew located the missing diver about two miles southwest of the dive boat after seeing it float in the water with an orange inflatable marker buoy," the Guard said. in a press release.
She was not hurt.

"Diving is an inherently risky activity, which is why it is so important to be safe and prepared," said Petty Officer 1st Class Dan Box. "I am pleased to say that the missing diver saved today was both prepared and experienced, which greatly helped this research to succeed."
