Cobb County triple murder suspect tied victims with duct tape before killing them, according to warrants – WSB-TV Channel 2

COBB COUNTY, Georgia – Heading new details released in shocking investigation into a triple murder at a Cobb County golf course.

Bryan Rhoden was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of murder and kidnapping in the deaths of three men found at the Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw last week.

Police say club professional golfer Gene Siller has been found shot near the 10th hole. Two other victims, Henry Valdez, 46, and Paul Pierson, 76, were found dead in the bed of a van parked on the nearby green.

The Cobb County investigating judge issued the arrest warrant in the case on Friday. In it, he describes the charges that Rhoden faces.

On the murder charges, authorities allege that Rhoden shot the three men, resulting in their deaths. For the kidnapping charges, officials said Rhoden tied Valdez and Pierson’s hands, legs and mouth with duct tape. The warrant also stated that Rhoden was detaining them against their will.

Police said Pierson owned the truck and was from Topeka, Kansas. According to a police report obtained by Channel 2 Action News, Valdez is originally from California and has ties to Los Angeles.

Rhoden is set to face a Cobb County judge on Friday night.

In 2016, Channel 2 Action News covered a shootout involving Rhoden at Georgia State University.

Police said Rhoden, 18 at the time, shot 19-year-old Honda driver Shelton Flournoy II three times as he tried to sell him, along with a passenger, drugs. Rhoden was shot in the chest.
