Colin Jost and wife Scarlett johansson welcomed their first child together, a baby boy named Cosmos, few months ago.
After revealing the name to fans on social media, the 39-year-old SNL star has revealed that her mother isn’t her biggest fan.

When appearing on Late night with Seth Meyers Thursday (September 30), Colin revealed that her mother had guessed their choice for the baby’s name.
“My family is always very supportive. My mom, I would say, was a little upset about it and didn’t quite get it. I don’t know if she thought it was kind of like a hippie thing? He shared.
Colin went on to say that “she would call us, after three or four days she would say, ‘Cosmo …’ And she would say, ‘And, now, is this final? Like, did you submit the birth certificate? ‘ And we’re like, ‘Oh, yeah, we did that in the hospital.’ “
“She was like ‘Oh okay, interesting. Because I was reading that there is also a Cosimo name with an “I” so that could also be an option. Maybe you call him Cosimo, that’s his real name, but then you can still call him Cosmo.
It took her meeting a few other real Cosmos to be convinced of the name.
“So,” he added, “she would call and say,“ I met someone – they said their uncle’s name is Cosmo, so it’s okay. And I was like, ‘It’s locked.’ “
