Week 4 was another good opportunity for top teams competing for college football playoffs.

Each week during the season, our college football editors select the four teams that they believe are currently part of the CFP.

Trevor Lawrence made two touchdown passes in the first period and No. 1 Clemson earned his 19th consecutive victory with a landslide 52-10 win over Charlotte.

Number 2 Alabama had no problem against Southern Miss with a 49-7 win. Tua Tagovailoa has scored more (five) than incomplete (four) touchdowns for the fourth time in her career. Crimson Tide's defense kept Southern Miss at 226 yards and 1.6 yards per run.

Strategist Joe Burrow (398 yards, six touchdowns) again released Heisman-worthy stats for LSU # 4 in his 66-38 win over Vanderbilt.

Oklahoma No. 5 was on leave this week.

No. 6 Ohio State beat Miami (Ohio) 76-5. Justin Fields again dominated, scoring four touchdowns and two more goals in the second quarter before his substitutes took over.

Two new teams – No. 8 Auburn and No. 13 Wisconsin – also received at least one vote this week.
