For the first time in about two years, there is no match this week on college football with two of the top 25 teams. That does not mean you have to move on to week 4. There is still a lot of action on Saturday, and given the huge differences that exist everywhere, the potential for strange things is certainly there.
Consider that eight of the top 25 teams play in real road games in the third week, including five of the top 10. Even with some of the gaps, the probability tells us that at least one or two of these games will be tighter than the Vegas projects. During week 3, be sure to check often below, as we will keep you informed of the latest findings, stories and highlights to watch.

Penn State and Pitt in a tight match after bad weather
Adverse weather conditions in the region delayed the start of this rivalry and the ensuing match was botched. The Nittany Lions took a 7-3 lead when running back Journey Brown provided the first fireworks during an 85-yard run that allowed the first touchdown. Penn State receiver KJ Hamler also received 53 yards at the start of the match between the two rivals.
Ohio State Cruise on the Road Against Indiana
The first road games of the season can be difficult, even for the most talented teams. This does not seem to be the case for the state of Ohio, which has taken a lead of 30 to 10 over Indiana. Once again, the Buckeyes quarterback Justin Fields was a touchdown machine with three overall scores in the first half. However, the big surprise was receiver Chris Olave, who had 70 yards, a touchdown and a free kick in the first period.
Georgia fans wear pink to support the Arkansas State
There is not much to say about Georgia's match against Arkansas State in the field. The Bulldogs did business early and took a 34-0 lead at half-time. The most common story is how Georgia fans rose in pink to support Red Wolves coach Blake Anderson and his late wife Wendy. Anderson's wife, tragically, for 27 years died of breast cancer in August. The "Wear Pink for Wendy" campaign is another reminder of what is great in humanity.
Maryland being excluded offensively against Temple
Remember how Maryland scored 142 points in the first two weeks? It was good enough to lead the nation in points per game, but it was not relevant at the start of the match against Temple. The Terps had no offensive points in the first period and safety was the only reason they were on the board as the Owls were 7-2 at halftime. The Owls have left points on the board, so there is a chance that the Maryland offense will make them pay in the second half. Nevertheless, even if a regression towards the average seemed possible this week, it is a stunning overproduction.
A Tennessee group rocks the homemade t-shirt of a fourth-grade fan
The Tennessee group will have a slightly different look for Saturday's game against Chattanooga. A better look, you could say. The group will wear a t-shirt design that went viral this week thanks to a fourth-grade student in Florida. Throughout history, the boy went to school at the "College Colors Day" with a piece of paper bearing the inscription "UT" on his shirt. The story drew attention after the kid was bullied for his homemade shirt, but the end result was amazing while Tennessee offered him a four-year fellowship and admission once he has finished high school. Here is a picture of the group wearing the boy's shirt:
Just a reminder: even when people seem to be the worst, they can really be the best.
