* The requested information, is it from which year? *
We have requested information since 1953, it is a very great information that we ask under the mandate to clarify the truth about everything that happened to us in Colombia in the internal armed conflict and we want not only knowing the events that have occurred since the 1970s, but also past events, which help us understand how the conflict originated and developed.
* How long will it take you to badyze the documentation? *
The badysis will run over three years, we have a significant group of people, in which we have been rigorous in their selection to badyze the information in the most cautious and practical way.
* How will you ensure that this information does not leak with these documents? *
All information will have very strict protection, agreed with the parties who deliver them to us, so that we will protect them with very serious protocols. In the second place, there is information that we will not receive, but we will go to the places where they are and we will examine them directly in the archives in which they are contained and another in dialogues like those which we will do with the victims. all the countries.
* The amount of information requested concerning the internal protocols of the Force Publique draws attention to what is this request? *
We send an internal letter to the Ministry of the Interior, within the usual conversations we have with this portfolio; They are respectful, serious conversations, very professional side. The fact that the letter was leaked, we have no explanation as to why this happened … but they are part of internal conversations. The communication has three very different chapters, most of them are historical documents, of which we have a copy, the second part deals with questions of intelligence and counter-intelligence, for which we are empowered by decree; the third part is an authorization to have dialogues with the personnel of the military forces. It's in this second part to which they relate that the question is sensitive information, but this is not an information that we will give in the form of copies, but we will go there and badyze these issues .
* Should they share this information with the CEP court? *
No, not necessarily We do not share information, but we have the obligation not to do so, we can not use information that we provide of a historical or confidential type so that we can not share information. it is used in legal processes. The pbadage of information comes from Transitional Justice when we need it, not to clarify legal justice, but to understand the historical and human problems of war, we can not pbad on information or testimonies to the CEP. that we have, because we owe none of this is used judicially.
* In addition to the Ministry of Defense, to which other state entities have requested information? *
We did it with the Prosecutor's Office, the Procuratorate, the Victim Unit, the Land Unit and internationally. For the moment, we went to the Latin American Human Rights Commission and we have already received it from the National Center for Historical Memory.
