Will Alberto Carrasquilla stop being finance minister?

The most unpopular of the government ministers of Iván Duque is the Treasury, Alberto Carrasquilla. The treasury portfolio manager had decided to leave his post before the end of the year.

This was revealed by journalist Darcy Quinn in "La Luciérnaga", of Caracol Radio. The journalist reportedly said that the manager "wants to leave" the wallet. This would occur at the end of the funding law process, which is expected to hold its first debate this Wednesday in Congress.

"It's practically a vox populi already, that he leaves in the month of December. Who wants to carry out this tax reform and wants to go ", Darcy said. According to the journalist, Alberto Carrasquilla's replacement at the Ministry of Finance would be the current president of the Colombian Stock Exchange (BVC), Juan Pablo Córdoba.

In a humorous tone, Quinn said the new minister should be "now a very kind person". In this way, she could, according to her, better socialize tax discussions. In the same way, the media could maintain closer relations with the citizens.

In addition to the financing law, Carrasquilla has had several controversies for his previous actions. What has happened with the "water bonds" that have indebted hundreds of municipalities has been one of their biggest controversies. The minister managed to get out of two debates without a motion of censure, but the difficult debate on tax reform would have brought it to fruition.
