Rivian was unveiled a few days ago with an original proposal for electric pickup, the R1T, 750 hp and over 600 km of autonomy. The goal of Rivian is to attract the spirits and be as disruptive as Tesla. In case the design does not specify it enough, the R1S shares a lot with the R1T pickup. The forehead with its particular forms is identical to that of the R1T, but the rest of the body does not share a theme. So, the flanks of the R1S are less sculpted than in the pickup. The overall appearance is that of the typical American SUV (read Chevrolet Suburban, Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator), but with a slight futuristic look that suggests that it can be electric and not equip a V8.
The R1S shares the same platform in the form of "skateboard", as the brand calls it, that of the R1T which houses the battery, its cooling system, the engines and the brakes. The dimensions are identical to those of the R1T, that is 5 040 mm long by 2 015 mm wide and a battle of 3 450 mm. It has a clear height of 36 cm and a walking capacity of 1 meter.

Like the pickup, the R1S is equipped with four engines, one per wheel, and their combined power varies depending on the capacity of the battery it is badociated with, the star being the 750 hp version.

The Rivian R1S has an identical interior to the pickup with the same dashboard and its two digital screens, the same mix of traditional and current materials.
