A couple from the French city of Brive decided that the little one called "Griezmann Mbappé", in tribute to the two world champions.
According to the newspaper La Montagne, the couple decided to name their son, born in November in Brive, in central France, with a compound name formed by the names of the two forwards of the French team who was crowned champion in Russia 2018.
A state official, considering, as provided in the Civil Code, that the names could "be contrary to the best interests of the child", was addressed to the public prosecutor confirmed the city council office to the newspaper.
If the prosecutor is of the same opinion, he will go to the family court, which may request a change of name.
