According to the list submitted Thursday by the Federation of Football History and Statistics, the national midfielder occupies the ninth box of the 2018 ranking, surpbading the Portuguese.
Luka Modric, the Real Madrid Croatian has been announced as the best footballer of the year, followed by Argentine Lionel Messi and Eden Hazard. The special thing is the tenth box of the Portuguese star Cristiano ROnaldo
The Croatian midfielder won the award after scoring 272 points, 128 more than Leo Messi, who finished second.
Football experts from 90 countries collaborated on these votes to designate Croatian first.
Modric won this award after receiving the UEFA Best Player of the Year award and the "Best" award. Two weeks ago, the Croatian also figured at the top of the annual GOAL 50 list and is one of the big favorites of the stay with the 2018 Gold Ball.
