An ambulance robbery in Cali leaves a paramedic wounded by a firearm

A paramedic was injured in the middle of a flight by an ambulance on Saturday night on Cali City Avenue, at number 27, east of Cali.

The complaint was filed by the State Secretary for Health in Cali, who said that the paramedic, aged 19, accompanied by the medical mission, had been attacked around 19:00.

"They were approached by people who were traveling in a vehicle, asking for their personal belongings, there was a situation and the attackers attacked the ambulance with a firearm," said Nelson Sinisterra, secretary at the Health of Cali.

After the attack, the young woman was transferred with a thoracic injury to Carlos Carmona Hospital, where she was stabilized and then taken to the Valle del Lili clinic. At this location, they performed an operation and at that time, his health is reserved.

"We regret this, because it is an attack on staff who is part of the medical mission and this kind of situation should not occur," added the secretary.
