A woman died because of the burns that she suffered after facing the flames of a fire saving her pet .
The woman, identified as 33-year-old Luz Dary Malagón, was the owner of the mattress factory that operated in the locality of Rafael Uribe Uribe, south of Bogotá, which was consumed by the flames that lasted 6 July.

The brave woman fought for her life for about a week, but her state of health was so compromised that she lost her life.
