Cuernavaca .- The Ministry of Health in Morelos confirmed Wednesday night, through a newsletter, that among one of the factors that led to the death of four babies ] at the General Hospital Jose G. Parres is the bacterium Klebsiella pneumoniae .
On Tuesday, a group of parents told the media that hospital doctors had informed them that "they were fighting hard against bacteria that babies had acquired" said Patricia Aguirre , mother of twins who died one day apart.
The same day, Patricia Mora González, head of the Ministry of Health, confirmed to El Financiero that the Directorate General of Epidemiology was conducting the investigation in the case of the four dead babies, and that of the other five others.
Mora González explained that he would hold a meeting with members of the epidemiology team to know the results of the investigations.

Mora González said that the causes of death are multifactorial, so the bacterium does not represent the reason for them .

The Minister of Health of Morelos reiterated that José G. Parres Hospital is a reference hospital throughout the entity and that, thanks to the accreditation obtained for emergency obstetric care more complicated in terms of maternal and child health.
