The swimmers Mercedes Ruiz, Viviana Retamozo, Paula Aguirre and Grace Fernandez won the medals in the modality of the 4×100 surface of the competition that is played in Serbia.
Colombia does not cease to obtain good results abroad. This time it was bathing that continues to bring joy to the country. This Friday, the national delegation in the category of women of 4 x 100 meters managed to keep the bronze medal. Swimmers Mercedes Ruiz, Viviana Retamozo, Paula Aguirre and Grace Fernandez took third place in the CMAS World of Finned Swimming competition in Belgrade, Serbia.
Colombia was in testing the 50 – meter surface in which Paula Aguirre and Grace Fernandez made positions one and two, the gold was for Aguirre and the money for Fernandez. The pair of Colombian swimmers also finished second and third respectively in the 100-meter surface.
In the second round last Wednesday, the third medal for the country came from Mauricio Fernandez, who in the men's division of the same test, the surface of 50 meters, won the gold medal with a time 15 minutes and 48 seconds. Silver and bronze were awarded to Serbia and Greece.
At these four medals was added the bronze medal won by Juan Fernando Ocampo in the surface test of 200 meters on Tuesday. In this way, the country already has seven medals: two gold, two silver and two bronze.
The swimming fins of the world are held from 14 to 21 July 2018 in the city of Belgrade, Serbia, with the organization of the Federation of Underwater Activities of this country.
