An explosion by fireworks in the municipality of Tultepec, in the central state of Mexico, killed 12 people on Thursday, local authorities reported.

"There are 12 reported deaths up to here, I have instructed the Government Secretariat, at the Ministry of Health, that they can move to the place of events to be able to be safe. occupy families and casualties immediately, "informed the state's governor, Alfredo del Mazo.

The governor added on Twitter that relief agencies are coming to the area to take care of the victims. The Red Cross of the State of Mexico lamented in the same social network the deaths of these people as "like other firefighters and police officers who saved many lives in exchange for theirs" .

The newspaper "Reforma" reports that the explosion is controlled and that at least four pyrotechnic workshops have been consumed. Tultepec is a community of technical craftsmen who have already suffered explosions in magazines or homes where games of this type are stored and sold.

Just last June 6, an explosion caused seven deaths, although the most dramatic occurred on December 20, 2016, when an explosion on the main pyrotechnic market killed 42 people.
