The battle seemed lost until the other feline appeared. Together, in addition to winning, they gave a lesson in friendship.
Red, a lion who was walking quietly, was surprised by the peculiar sound of hyenas.
In the blink of an eye, he was already surrounded by the spotted hyena clan, a species whose characteristic is to scare big predators.
They started to surround the lion and, even though it was much more powerful, it was difficult to know if he could escape before one of the strongest bites among mammals.
Conscious of their numerical superiority, the hyenas locked the king of the jungle and attacked him with sharp teeth. Red tried to defend himself and, although his fangs incited some of his rivals, he was unable to fight alone against the pack.
As Red struggled to survive, there was another feline presence in the distance. It was Tatu, a lion who walked resolutely to the battlefield and began to roar that hyenas could not ignore.
From shoulder to shoulder, Red and Tatu threw bites and grunts, forcing the clan to refrain from attack and to flee.
As if it was a celebration or gesture of thanks, the two lions rubbed their heads and fell to the ground after a tense duel in which the friendship won.
