Lewis Hamilton wins pole position at British Grand Prix

The Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) clinched pole position Saturday at the British Formula One Grand Prix,

Hamilton, who reached the fourth pole of the season and 76th of his career, clocked a best time of 1: 25.892 with which he beat the German Sebastian Vettel by 44 thousandths (Ferrari), with whom this Sunday will share the first line of the starting grid in the British track.

In the second row of the grid will be Finnish Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) and Valteri Bottas (Mercedes), which augurs hard battle between the German and Italian teams to take the win.

The third force of the current World Cup, the Red Bull team, places his cars on the third starting line with the Dutchman Max Verstappen in fifth position and the Australian Daniel Ricciardo in the xta.
