Mayor of Bucaramanga attacked councilor Jhon Jairo Claro

In Bucaramanga's mayor's office, a lively discussion took place on Wednesday between local president Rodolfo Hernández and Jhon Jairo Claro, an ASI party advisor, several regional media reported.

The incident, videotaped, occurred while Hernández and Claro were discussing the motion of censure presented to the Treasury Secretary of the City Council.

Apparently, a charge of the city councilor so upset the mayor that led him to insult him and even to hit him in the face. The lobbyist had to be transferred to a medical center in Floridablanca for a malaise badociated with blood pressure.

When the mayor left, the counselor allegedly accused him of an alleged connection with the Vitalogic case and his relationship with a son of the president.

In a dialogue with Caracol Radio, Hernandez admitted to having hit the politician after accepting an interview to which Claro had arrived with a recording equipment.

"He started repeating the same thing as they repeat each time to annoy me and lead me to levels of lack of control like the one I had this morning (…) I'm asking an excuse, it happened, I must admit, I promise not to react again, "he said. .

Councilman Jhon Jairo Claro said he was preparing a statement, while supporters of the liberal party in Bucaramanga have requested the opening of an investigation after the incident.
