One of the most controversial chapters of the prosecutor's intervention, Néstor Humberto Martínez, was what he called an alleged conspiracy against him, designed by former ANI president, Luis Fernando Andrade, in detention .
Martinez also referred to Luis Alberto Moreno, president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), cousin of Andrade, who recommended it, according to a recording in circulation a few months ago, to try to to advance his record in the media. According to the Prosecutor, the President of the IDB has interfered with Colombian justice, which, he added, would have criminal consequences both in the country and in the United States.
According to Martinez, Andrade contacted Pizano to engage him in a campaign of defamation against him. "They poisoned Jorge Enrique Pizano: they poisoned him against his friend the Prosecutor," he said.
He added that in order to defend himself against the process of Odebrecht contract bribery, Luis Fernando Andrade and his wife allegedly developed an intense smear campaign against the prosecutor in Colombia and the United States.
Andrade says that he is the victim of judicial persecution and that he has become a kind of scapegoat for the scandal. The Prosecutor badured that "for several million dollars" a strategy had been put in place, which included the recruitment of a former CIA agent to seek contacts with the FBI, supposed to provide evidence against him.
In this sense, he baderted that Pizano first saw it proposing a negotiation with the US authorities and then, when this plan did not work, a supposed campaign in his favor. by various means of communication. Martinez said that when these pacts were not concluded, Pizano sank into a deep depression.
He added that Gustavo Petro had also joined this alleged plot, claiming that he had recently met Luis Fernando Andrade during his house arrest. He concluded by saying that he was happy to see Petro and Senator Robledo together, separated in recent years but who, he questioned, were the sponsors of the campaign that led Samuel Moreno to the city of Bogotá in 2008.
