The Saudi official said that signals from Iraq, Nigeria and Libya, partners of the kingdom within OPEC, were positive before the meeting that the group will have in Vienna on December 6, because they all want the stability of the oil markets.

Kachikwu said it was too early to say whether Nigeria would participate in any initiative to reduce pumping.

Falih, whose country is the de facto leader of OPEC, said early November that the abundance of oil supply could cause the group and its allies to take steps to reduce production. from here 2019.

Nigeria has been exempted from the previous wave of pump reduction, which began in 2017, due to internal conflicts that have reduced oil activity. The country's crude output has since recovered.
