The Corte Inglés, the largest Spanish distribution group and the Chinese e-commerce giant Ali Baba Thursday announced an agreement to jointly develop new business opportunities in online commerce and to share their physical and virtual spaces to enhance their offer.
Both companies seek to leverage the best of physical stores and the virtual world and engage in close collaboration in the areas of retail and distribution, cloud services, digital innovation and mobile phone payments.

For its part, AliExpress could develop physical spaces in the shopping centers of El Corte Inglés.
In addition, both companies will work "closely" on the use of infrastructure and logistics channels.
