The mayor of Palmira in Valle del Cauca denounces the threats made against him

There are about 20 intimidations that the president, he says, has received in this social network. He asks the authorities to conduct investigations.

For Jairo Ortega Samboní, Mayor of Palmira, the death threats against him, which were recorded via Facebook, could be due to a restriction that he established in a few hours of motorcycle traffic.

The situation comes a week after the grievor also appeared in a long list of threats from the Black Eagles. "For the prosecutor's office to be investigated, because this can not be allowed. We must continue the investigation and prosecute these people" he says.

Samboní states that the problems began to begin the punishment for those who travel by motorcycle between 12 pm and 5 am. According to the President, the measure allowed traffic accidents to drop to zero in the hours in question.

Police say that they are already working hand in hand with the prosecutor's office to find those responsible. "He already has institutional and UNP measures in all protection regimes" says Efrén Blanco, District Commander of Palmira.

Meanwhile, threats against community leaders continue in Neiva. The president of JAC commune 10 also denounced intimidation against him and asked the state security because he feared for his life and that of his family.
