The system reorganized some of its roads on this road corridor, trying to allow mobility during peak hours. The changes will be effective from this Saturday

Transmilenio continues the work of reorganizing its roads, in order to make the system more and more efficient. Starting this Saturday, July 7, 11 new bus stops will be installed on the Carrera Septima, where the two buses also cross other trunks, such as Av. Suba, Calle 80 or Calle 26. [19659003]. This reorganization, according to the system, is to try to accelerate the Seventh with a better flow of users. This reorganization also aims to reduce the long queues that occur during rush hour at a single point of the road corridor. The changes will not be on the entire Seventh, the new stops will be located between the 40th and 118th streets because it is there that the platforms are more deteriorated.

The roads that worked until then in one point will be redistributed. This exercise also aims to improve mobility in the road sections where the two bus stops that cover the C84 – M84, M86 – K86, D81 – M81 and M82 – L82 roads are located. Furthermore, according to Transmilenio, this reorganization will divide the operational load of stops at two different points, with the understanding that there will be no conflict between stops.

Other benefits expected by the system generate with the changes of stops is that the bus lines in the bus stops are diminished, because they arrive up to intersections and even parking lots in hours of greater traffic. Also, that the platforms are released for a better pedestrian flow, and that the frequencies of the roads are also better, having, in theory, a decrease in waiting times.
