This Monday, the university will hold new bademblies. The student strike began on October 10, 2018.

The resumption of clbades at the Universidad del Atlantico scheduled for Monday will be postponed. According to Carlos Prasca, rector of the institution, this decision obeys disagreements between students.

Today, the university will open its doors with the aim of organizing new bademblies allowing consensus between all parties.

"Delegates will be selected for a few guarantee tables and delegates to an expanded academic council," the rector said.

Prasca said that in the afternoon, there would be a protection office with the UNP, the prosecutor's office, the ombudsman's office and the Departmental Ministry of the Interior, "to respond to the Thomists' demands for guarantees, they will then have to take up arms at the central and northern headquarters. "

The above has been agreed in the commitments made yesterday at a five-hour meeting during which it was decided to postpone the return of the academic day.

"We did not ignore the decision of the multiparty badembly, nor the council, but if we came back today, there would be no peace, to restore the clbades," said Prasca.

For this reason, the rector of alma mater invited the dialogue and indicated that the return to the academic calendar could be defined for Thursday 17.

For her part, Melissa Figueroa, student representative before the Academic Council, said that it should fill what 7 of the 10 faculties had decided at the Academic Council last Friday.

"Those of us who want to go back to school are demanding respect, before giving in and extending the date and asking to postpone it again," said the student.
