Atlético Nacional has published a moving video in which it pays homage to Chapecoense, who lost his team two years ago before the first final of the Copa Sudamericana.
"Football put us in competition but also united us as brothers", says the Greens message, and adds: "They are always in our hearts."
The Paisa group was supposed to go to Chapecó one day after the tragedy that occurred when the plane in which the Brazilian team was traveling crashed in Cerro Gordo, in the jurisdiction of the municipality of La Unión, in Antioquia, after a breakdown of fuel.
After this event, Nacional decided to give the trophy to the box "carioca", to heal a little the wounds left by this unfortunate event.
