Colts rating ‘the next kick’ with Carson Wentz’s foot

Quarterback Carson Wentz did not train for the Colts on Friday due to a foot injury and offensive coordinator Marcus Brady provided an update on Wentz’s condition following the end of the session.

Brady told reporters Wentz felt a “pinch in his foot” during practice Thursday. Jacob Eason led the offense for the latter part of the job at 11-11 that day and joined Sam Ehlinger and Jalen Morton as quarterbacks on Friday.

The Colts practice again on Saturday, but Brady is unsure if Wentz will participate in practice. He said, through Jim Ayello of Indianapolis Star, that the medical staff of the team assess “what the next move is and how bad it is ”right now.

Brady also said center Ryan Kelly is expected to miss a few weeks with an elbow injury, so the Colts are working without both ends of the instant trade for now.
