Columbus's Boone Jenner is grilling for a shot on goal

The Columbus Blue Jackets earned a penalty shot in the first period of Thursday's fourth game against the Bruins after Boone Jenner was unleashed by Brad Marchand on a shorthanded breakaway.

It's a call you do not often see in an NHL game, let alone in a playoff game, but it was the right choice, as Marchand made him stumble from behind, right in front of goal .

Jenner then tried a penalty shot and things did not go well for him, his attempt – which was not great – was easily pushed back by Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask.

By making matters worse for Columbus, you do not get power play after a penalty shot. The Bruins were still on theirs and quickly scored just afterwards to bring the score to 2-0.
