Stand-up comic Gabriel Iglesias has revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 despite being fully vaccinated.
He shared the news via social media explaining why he had to cancel his next show in San Antonio, Texas.
Iglesias, who turned 45 on Thursday, said he had chills, body aches and loss of taste and smell, but the symptoms were not “debilitating.”

“I was vaccinated and I give him credit for getting me through this as quickly as he did,” he added.
By posting a video post on his Instagram titled “Announcement I Didn’t Want to Make on My Birthday,” Iglesias was philosophical about the situation.
“Not like I wanted to spend my birthday, but at least I’m alive and I have cake… I can’t taste it or smell it, but I have it,” he said.
The comedian, known as “Fluffy”, must now be quarantined for 14 days.

As COVID-19 cases start to rise again in California, rapper Wiz Khalifa has also revealed that he has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Wiz, 33, tweeted Wednesday: ‘Okay, my relatives… .sooo… ..your boy has become covid. No symptoms. Stay away from me for a little while.
He added, “While I’m in the house I’m going to give you some new content, plan some raves, and set up this new project (sic).”

Just a month after Gov. Gavin Newsom declared the state open again after the 2020 Stay At Home order, infections are on the rise again, driven by the more transmissible Delta variant.
On Thursday, Los Angeles County announced that wearing a face mask in indoor public facilities, including stores, grocery stores, restaurants and workplaces, will again be mandatory regardless of vaccination status.
The order goes into effect at midnight on Saturday, made necessary, according to the county public health department, by the steady increase in the number of COVD-19 cases and the number of hospitalizations.
The county reported 1,537 new cases of infection on Thursday – the highest number since early March and the seventh consecutive day of new cases exceeding 1,000.

Sadler then detailed the symptoms she experienced, revealing that her illness was so severe that she couldn’t get out of bed.
“Two days of fever now. The throbbing head. Extreme size. Even a little weird pus coming out of my eye. Severe fatigue; no energy to even get out of bed, ”she wrote.
The entertainment reporter then urged her subscribers to continue taking precautions against COVID-19,
