Coming to Campustown: Taco Bell "Urban"

Another Taco Bell arrives in Champaign-Urbana, this one near the campus.

It will replace this old Wich sandwich at 512 E. Green St. this fall, according to a sign recently posted in the shop window.

And the Taco Bell public relations team confirmed the new location, which will employ about 30 people.

Unlike the other four Taco Bell Champaign-Urbana, it will have no driving service and adopt the new concept "Urban In-Line" Taco Bell.

It was launched for the first time in 2015 in Chicago and others have been in cities such as San Francisco, New York and Atlanta.

With the new concept, all classic Taco Bell dishes will still be present, such as Doritos Locos Tacos Supreme or Quesarito, as well as new tapas-style shareable dishes. By 2022, Taco Bell plans to add 300 restaurants in the United States
