The spectacular return of Urijah Faber to UFC on ESPN + 13 did not surprise his opponent Ricky Simon. This also left the team of commentators stunned.
As we have seen many times, a camera recorded the reactions of the commentators during the evening of Saturday night. Brendan Fitzgerald and Michael Bisping, game analyst, have both been knocked out by the attractive show of "The California Kid's". performance.
When Faber (35-10 MMA, 11-6 UFC) came in contact with the big right hand that started the finish sequence, Fitzgerald jumped to his feet, while Bisping leaned in his chair and raised his hands like a man caught in a raid against a bank. Then, the former UFC middleweight champion began to rock his chair with enthusiasm.
And by the time the former WEC champion, Faber, put the finishing touches on a first-round win, the two men were standing up, shouting at the top of their voices, hoping to be heard over the deafening roar of the California crowd.
It was a great moment for Faber inside the cage and the last reminder at the end of the day that even professional broadcasters like Fitzgerald and Hall of Fame fighters such as Bisping are still big fight fans just like we.
And we love them for that.
