Fortnite's second major update of Season 8 is also one of the most controversial in the game.
Much has changed in the game, including new additions and modifications to The Baller and Infantry rifles, but the community has focused on three points.
In the Fortnite v7.40 update, Epic added to the main game the features it had tested in the Pop-Up Cups.
This included bringing the total material down from 3,000 to 1,500 by capping each site at 500, adding a 50 PV / shield siphon for each slaughter and increasing the harvest rate.
In v8.20, these updates have been canceled. They are still in Arena mode, but the main game will no longer have these features.
The reactions of the biggest names in the community were quick and decisive, but once you broke down the changes, they started to make sense.
I will discuss the reverse of these reactions in another article of the upcoming site where I will represent the base of casual players, but for now, here are some of the most interesting reactions of the update of Fortnite v8.20.
Ninja has refused to offer a "hot grip" and wants the meta to settle a little bit first:
Many other streamers had no time to lose:

But it can also have done good:
They removed +50 HP / Shield from standard Fortnite modes?
It's a solid RIP in my books

I'm laughing … a little. Cloak's tweet below, regarding the three controversial changes, does not make much sense, as the Arena mode still contains all these features.
The games are not ready for a 100 mils tournament. To postpone the world cup

Dakotaz is an overall positive person and he found the positive in this update also, it's in another game developer's office:

Can we all play Apex again for Fortnite to restore this crap update.

In the end, this list could go on and on. Almost all streamers playing Fortnite semi-systematically had some kind of opinion. But this change was not for them. This change was the first step in Epic finally separating the basics of casual and competitive players.
It remains to be seen if Epic did it the right way, but at one point the two paths had to separate and the v8.20 seems to be the first divergence.
