Arizona man who allegedly told his father he “caught and shot a few people” was charged with murder on Tuesday, about a week later four bodies were found in abandoned SUV in western Wisconsin, according to a criminal complaint.
Antoine Suggs, 38, of Scottsdale, Ariz., Faces four counts of willful second degree murder without premeditation. Suggs surrendered to Gilbert, Ariz. Police last week after investigators said he was wanted for questioning. Prosecutors said he remains jailed in Arizona, pending his extradition to Minnesota.
Suggs’ father, Darren McWright, 56, who also goes by the last name Osborne, has been charged in Wisconsin with four counts of hiding a dead body. Minnesota’s lawsuit against Suggs does not name McWright as Suggs’ father, but comparing the details with the Wisconsin charges shows that the two are father and son. The Ramsey County District Attorney’s Office said it was reviewing the case against McWright.
The Gilbert Police Department said Suggs was taken to Maricopa County Jail on Friday. It was not immediately clear if he was still there Tuesday night because online prison records showed an error. A message left at the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office was not immediately returned. The Ramsey County Jail phone system has listed McWright as an inmate, but staff are not taking messages. It was not immediately clear whether either of the men had a lawyer to comment on their behalf.

The bodies of Matthew Pettus, 26, his half-sister Jasmine Sturm, 30, and Sturm’s boyfriend, Loyace Foreman III, 35, all of St. Paul; and Nitosha Flug-Presley, 30, of Stillwater, Minnesota, a close friend of Sturm, were found by a farmer in a cornfield on September 12 just outside the town of Sheridan in Dunn County, Wisconsin, approximately 60 miles east of St. Paul.
Nitosha Flug-Presley’s father Damone Presley told CBS Minnesota on Tuesday he was “so grateful” for the charges against Suggs.
Authorities said all four had gunshot wounds to the head. Nitosha Flug-Presley, who was in the front passenger seat, was shot in the mouth, Pettus had two gunshot wounds in the back of the head, Foreman had a gunshot wound in the face and another gunshot wound in the back of the head. top of his head, and Sturm had a gunshot wound to his left cheek, according to the complaint.
Authorities said in court documents Suggs was seen at a bar in St. Paul with Flug-Presley, Sturm and Pettus on September 12. Suggs and he would fly from Arizona to see her.
According to the criminal complaint against Suggs, a bar worker saw a woman who looked like Flug-Presley arguing with a man the employee identified as Suggs from a series of photos. The employee said Suggs said something about “having six children and it happens every time he comes back to Minnesota,” according to the complaint.
Flug-Presley, Pettus and Sturm were then seen getting into a black SUV, according to the complaint. The SUV and Suggs returned to the area shortly before 3 a.m. Investigators believe Suggs killed the four victims in St. Paul between 3.30 am and 3.38 am Six shell casings and Suggs’ bloody driver’s license were found in the vehicle.

Suggs’ father told authorities that after leaving the SUV in a cornfield, he brought Suggs back to Minnesota. Suggs’ father denied knowing the bodies were in the abandoned SUV, according to the complaint.
But surveillance video from a gas station in Wheeler, Wisconsin – about 10 miles from the cornfield – shows Suggs’ father handed something to the driver of the SUV. Suggs’ father was also standing in front of the SUV’s open passenger window while in the parking lot of the gas station, according to the complaint.
Surveillance footage shows Flug-Presley “slumped” in the front passenger seat, which investigators said was the same way she was found in the vehicle in Wisconsin, CBS Minnesota reported. Police were able to identify Suggs in the surveillance video because he was not wearing a mask.
The two vehicles then left the Wheeler gas station and headed for the cornfield where the SUV was discovered. Investigators found blood in the parking lot of the gas station where the SUV had stopped, according to the complaint.
County District Attorney John Choi said his heart goes out to “the families and friends of the victims,” and he applauded the work of the St. Paul Police Department, CBS Minnesota reported.
“My greatest appreciation for the diligent work on this matter by the Saint Paul Police Department and other law enforcement agencies who have worked tirelessly to find the truth,” Choi said.
