Conan O’Brien crushed Stephen Colbert’s acceptance speech at the Emmys on Sunday night.
O’Brien ran on stage – and stayed there – as Colbert accepted an Outstanding Variety Emmy Special for his Election Night 2020 special, “Stephen Colbert’s Election Night 2020: Democracy’s Last Stand Building Back America Great Again Better 2020 “.
Colbert laughed when he saw O’Brien on stage alongside the “Late Show” employees.
“Most of the people behind me really deserve this Emmy right now,” Colbert said during his acceptance speech, spiking O’Brien.

It wasn’t the first time O’Brien had caused chaos on Sunday night. Earlier in the awards ceremony, he heckled Television Academy president and CEO Frank Scherma by shouting and waving as he attempted to honor Debbie Allen, who returned home with the coveted Governors Award honoring his career.
