Genshin Impact 2.1 is coming to an end, and that means it’s time for a Genshin Impact 2.2 livestream to find out what will be in the next version of the game. With so little information on the Genshin Impact 2.2 leak at the ahead of time, there will certainly be a few surprises in store for the fans.

There is only ONE day left before the stream.

Here is what we know.

When does the Genshin Impact 2.2 flow start?

The “Special Program Announcement” will be broadcast on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 9 a.m. EST.

This is a strange gesture on the part of miHoYo, having never broadcast a special program over a weekend.

The stream will take place on miHoYo’s official Twitch channel, with a VOD that will be available on their YouTube channel shortly thereafter.

What to expect

Inazuma expands for the last time

The final island of Inazuma should finally launch in Genshin Impact 2.2. Tsurumi Island was first seen in Livestream 1.6 and is a solemn place surrounded by dense fog. It has been many years since no one has visited this island; shrouded in mystery and difficult to access by boat, some even wonder if it is still there.

Leaks have shown that humanoid spirits appear in large numbers in parts of the island, making Tsurumi a spooky place to explore.

New characters

miHoYo has already confirmed that Thoma, a 4-star Pyro Polearm user, will arrive in Genshin Impact 2.2, and it is likely that he will be part of the update’s first character event banner.

Surprisingly, there has been no word of Yae Miko getting a banner in this version.

Character reruns

With no 5-star characters announced for Genshin Impact 2.2, rumors have spread that fans may be seeing reruns of Ganyu, Hu Tao, and / or Childe.

Genshin on Nintendo Switch?

At the moment, we still don’t know when Genshin Impact will arrive on Nintendo Switch.

It was originally announced for September 2020 but has been indefinitely delayed with no proposed new release date.

Many seem to think this is due to the fact that miHoYo needs more power for Genshin Impact and reflects the developer expecting a “Nintendo Switch Pro”.

Nintendo, however, just announced the Nintendo Switch (OLED model), and it doesn’t look like a “Switch Pro” is coming anytime soon.

Honestly, there probably won’t be any new Genshin Impact on the Switch anytime soon.

The next Genshin Impact update is expected soon

Genshin Impact’s next update, which will be revealed in the feed we have a countdown timer for, is expected sooner than you might think.

Genshin Impact 2.2 is scheduled for release on October 13, 2021.
