Valtteri Bottas has pioneered pole position yesterday, beating teammate Lewis Hamilton by 0.600. Despite the gap, Hamilton was strong enough to beat both Ferrari.

Max Verstappen managed to split the Ferrari cars after Charles Leclerc suffered a slight injury during a tight lap in Q2. Pierre Gasly showed a good rhythm to get the 6th place.

Both Haas cars were strong all weekend and they comfortably took the best of the rest position while Toro Rosso ranks in the top 10.

Both Renault drivers were entitled to penalties. Daniel Ricciardo lost three places because of his incident in Baku. Nico Hulkenberg will leave the pit lane while his engineers have changed his features of the front wing overnight. He also gets a new food unit.

Antonio Giovinazzi and George Russell both get a penalty of five places for a gearbox change.
