Conor McGregor wants to face every contender in the lightweight division after dealing with affairs with Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 next weekend.

McGregor added the name of Michael Chandler as well as Nate Diaz and Charles Oliveira, but ‘The Notorious’ is also open to sharing the octagon with former interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson who Khabib Nurmagomedov says is’ “ finished ” behind his back. – consecutive defeats against “Do Bronx” and Justin Gaethje.

McGregor doesn’t quite see it that way and thinks “El Cucuy” is still a “solid fighter” with one of the most comprehensive skill sets in the division.

“There are a lot of exciting things. I don’t forget the guys who maybe had a bit of a slippage in the division too because it’s happening in this game, ”said McGregor in a recent interview with John McCarthy and Josh Thomson of the Weighing In podcast (h / t Abhinav Kini of The Body Lock). “I look at Tony Ferguson, I still think he’s a solid fighter.

“There’s a lot that has happened between me and Tony regarding the leadership situation over the years. I would also be open to a fight against Tony Ferguson. What if the other guy [Khabib Nurmagomedov] has the bullets to come back and intervene, if he stops running away, that’s what we’re here for too.

As for the other suitors, McGregor wants to test himself against “every one of them.”

“All of them, John. I will go through each of them in turn, ”he says. “And I have no qualms about who it is. I’m happy for [Dan] Hooker and [Michael] Chandler in the co-main event. I know they’re very excited for it, I know they’re both eager to put on a show and make a statement. I am very excited to see how it goes. I wish both men good luck. If they are the following, they are the following.

“Obviously you have [Justin] Gaethje and [Charles] Oliveira in the mix too. They can also be in competition, I’m excited about that. I want them all to be honest, John. Each of them. I also heard the other day that Dana had an interview with The Mac Life and he said that Nate Diaz was down to 155 pounds. It would also be pretty amazing for us to keep the trilogy light weight possibly for a title.
