Bryson DeChambeau is the consensus favorite to win the Masters and draw the most money from sports betting bettors in the country.

DeChambeau dominates the Masters odds at 8-1 on William Hill’s Caesars Sportsbook. Dustin Johnson is next at 17-2 and is the only other golfer with single-digit odds. Jon Rahm is 10-1, followed by Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy, who are each 12-1.

More money was wagered on DeChambeau than on any other golfer on multiple sports bets. On Tuesday at DraftKings, more than twice as much money had been bet on DeChambeau than on any other golfer. DeChambeau, who broke with his first major championship at the US Open in September, had drawn more bets and more money than any other golfer on the course at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook.

Defending champion Tiger Woods saw a lot of support at the betting window, despite long odds in the 35-1 range. Sports betting operator BetMGM has reported taking a $ 5,000 bet on Woods at 40-1 to win this week at Augusta National. The bet would bring in $ 200,000.

On Tuesday, Phil Mickelson was the SuperBook’s biggest blame, said golf risk and odds specialist Jeff Sherman vice president. Mickelson is 200-1 on the SuperBook.

“Anytime Mickelson is triple digits in a major, he sees support,” Sherman said.

The Masters has been moved from its normal April to November dates due to the coronavirus pandemic. The opening round starts Thursday at Augusta National in Augusta, Georgia.

The tournament will face the NFL and college football for the first time. DraftKings surveyed 1,000 people who identified themselves as football and golf fans. Survey responses indicated that 53% of fans are more likely to prioritize watching the NFL over the Masters.

DraftKings is offering a multisport proposition bet that will be bigger on: DeChambeau’s longest drive to the Masters or passing yards of an NFL quarterback. DeChambeau is a -400 favorite on NFL quarterbacks.
