Control of PS5 games PlayStation 5 505 Remedy

What should have been a PR slam-dunk for controlling publisher 505 Games is already turning sour, as fans wonder why they were encouraged to purchase the Ultimate Edition if it was distributed day in and day out with Playstation plus next month.

You might remember a big hubbub when the next gen upgrade was announced, as it was only promised to owners of the aforementioned Ultimate Edition. After a significant backlash, a statement was released explaining that “as we are only doing additional development on Control: Ultimate Edition on next-gen platforms, we are unfortunately unable to offer an upgrade path. level to all existing Control players ”.

As you can imagine, it played out pretty much like an ethically ambiguous science project in a shady, secretive organization, but some fans had started to come to terms with the news. As a result, when the PlayStation 5 version of the game was pushed into 2021, some decided to take the Ultimate Edition as part of a recent PS Store sale in view of the release of the PS5 version on February 2.

This decision has now, of course, been backfired as the title will be made available for free to PS Plus subscribers on both PS5s. and PS4 day-and-date with its next-gen digital release. Presumably publisher 505 Games thought it would stop the tide of bad publicity it received for its previous decisions – but it ended up making its most engaged fans even more enraged.

It is possible that some may receive a refund from Sony customer service, especially if you have not yet downloaded Control: Ultimate Edition. Otherwise, you might have to attribute it to bad luck.
