Coors Field concessionaire worker died after Friday shooting in Denver: reports

An employee of the Coors Field concessions in Denver was among at least two people killed in the city between Friday and Saturday morning in at least four shootings, according to reports.

The dealership worker’s death was not believed to be related to his job, although Denver Police are still investigating, Denver FOX 31 reported.

The unidentified victim was one of two people shot near Coors Field after Friday’s game between the Colorado Rockies and the Miami Marlins.

The injured victim was described by police as an “uninvolved bystander,” while the killed dealership worker allegedly argued with two other people at the scene, according to the Denver Post.

The victim’s employment at Coors Field has been confirmed by the Rockies, the Post reported.

The second victim of the 10:30 p.m. shooting in the Coors Field area remained in critical condition on Saturday, FOX 31 reported.

About two hours earlier Friday, three people were shot dead in the Civic Center neighborhood of Denver, about two miles from the baseball stadium. One victim died, another remained in critical condition on Saturday and the third victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, FOX 31 reported.

Later, just before 2 a.m. on Saturday, a male victim was seriously injured in a third shooting, at West 11th Avenue and Acoma Street. A second victim of the shooting, also seriously injured, was later located after police learned the victim had been taken to hospital in a private vehicle, FOX 31 reported.

In the fourth shooting of the night, just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, two people were shot dead but both are expected to survive, authorities told FOX 31.

No arrests were reported in any of the four shootings. Police have asked anyone with information to contact them at 720-913-7867.
