PT 1:24 pm – Police said they arrested 2 suspects and recovered 2 firearms after an alleged shooting at the Toronto Raptors Championship parade on Monday.

The police also say that two people are being treated for "serious" injuries – but that these injuries are not life threatening. The investigation is ongoing.

The championship parade continued after the shooting – with Duck Get on the scene and tell the 1.5 million people in the streets that have come to hug and spread love.

The parade is over without further violent incident.

Scary moment at the Toronto Raptors Championship parade in Canada … where shots were fired in the crowd and the cops are now reacting.

The party was interrupted just before 1 pm Eastern Time – when people in the crowd heard what looked like 4 shots.

A woman was reportedly injured and paramedics rushed to the scene.

The Toronto Police Operations Center issued a statement saying: "TAKING OF VIEWS: Nathan Phillip's Place – Reports of a woman shot and wounded – people fleeing the area."

You can see people fleeing on video. At one point, the play-by-play announcer of the Raptors Matt Devlin grabbed the microphone and told the crowd to stay strong and stay calm while the officials respond to the "emergency situation".

It is advisable for people on the premises to "go down" or find a safe place.
