The Indian star had completed its mission of minor league reeducation until reaching a roadblock Sunday, leaving his departure for precautionary reasons after a round with left abdominal oppression.
Kluber had to make about 75 shots, but he only throws 20, which earned him two hitters in his scoreless frame. The right-hander flew to Charlotte, North Carolina, to meet the Triple-A Columbus Clippers in order to do what might be his last appearance in rehab. Now, he's almost guaranteed at least another start in the Minor League.

Although the Indian fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Kluber did not suffer a setback with his arm after recovering from the fracture of his right ulna on May 1, the severity of abdominal stiffness is still not known.
The potential return of Kluber gave the tribe more confidence to move its former starter # 2, Trevor Bauer, to the trading deadline. Chris Antonetti, president of Indian baseball operations, and general manager, Mike Chernoff, were optimistic that the double winner of the Cy Young Award from the American League would return in the rotation at the end of August.
