Coronavirus News: United States exceeds 280,000 deaths, more than 10,000 reported since December 1

NEW YORK (WABC) – The United States took another dark step in the battle against the coronavirus on Saturday, more than 280,000 Americans have died from COVID-19, according to Johns Hopkins University.

It was only this week, December 1, that the United States passed 270,000 dead.

Hospitalizations are on the increase in at least 40 states, and almost every region of the United States is seeing a rapid increase in cases.
