LEBANON, N.H. – Candidate for the presidency, Senator Cory Booker, confirmed Friday that he is attending actress Rosario Dawson.

"I'm going out with Rosario Dawson and I'm very happy about it," the New Jersey Democrat told reporters as a result of a stoppage of his campaign in New Hampshire, the state that organizes the first primary on the road to the White House.

"He's a great actor," said Booker.

The 39-year-old actress announced the new Thursday saying "yes, really," at TMZ's Reagan-National International Airport, asking if she was involved in Booker, who will turn 50 next month. "He is a wonderful human being. It's nice to spend time together when you can. Very busy."

Rosario emphasized that "I am just grateful to be with someone whom I respect and love and whom I admire so much, who is so bright, kind, caring and loving."

The actress, producer, singer and comic artist first became known for roles such as "He Got Game" in 1998, "Men in Black II" in 2002 and "Rent" in 2005.

She is also a political activist and supports Senator Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic presidential primaries. She joined the Independent Senator of Vermont on the campaign trail. She supported Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein in the general election, after Hillary Clinton defeated Sanders for the Democratic nomination.

Rosario also co-founded Voto Latino, a non-partisan group that encourages Latino youth to register to vote and participate more in politics.

Last month, Booker recognized in the popular radio program "The Breakfast Club" that he "was dating someone who is really special".

But he did not name the person he was dating.

If Booker wins the White House, he will only be the third single in the history of the country to hold the position of president.
